Pravar is Head of the Strengthening Democracy Desk at the International Centre for Sustainability (ICfS). The ICfS is an independent and non-partisan think-tank fostering a deeper alliance between the India, the UK, the USA and other global stakeholders by placing sustainability at the heart of everything it does. Through research, training and development, and influencing policy, it focuses on harmonising the needs of people, planet and profit to build a more sustainable future.
Pravar’s current projects focus on understanding India’s ‘civilisational-state’ positioning, electoral reform second chamber reform in the UK and India, the relationship between democracy and Higher Education pedagogy, and the implementation of deliberative democracy through emerging technology. He has also contributed to commentary on the 2024 elections in India, the UK and the USA, as well as to three briefing papers on the Pahalgam terrorist attacks in April 2025 and the resultant conflict between India and Pakistan.
